• Damiana has a somewhat bitter flavor with an aroma similar to chamomile: slightly sweet, mildly earthy; combines well with spinach and other bitter greens, such as arugula and dandelion
• BREW AS TEA: Steep on its own or blend with sweeter herbs to balance the bitterness, yielding approximately 15.5 cups per pound for a generous bulk pour
• CULINARY USE: Sprinkle the cut leaf lightly over green salads, simmer into vegetable soups, or fold into cooked vegetable dishes

Damiana leaf is most often prepared as a tea, on its own or blended with sweeter herbs to round out the bitterness, and yields about fifteen cups per pound for everyday brewing. In the kitchen, sprinkle the cut leaf lightly over green salads, simmer it into vegetable soups, or fold it into cooked vegetable dishes.
