Description
- 100% Organic Salsa Small batch crafted in Santa Ana, El Salvador. Imported to the US market by TDP Specialties.
- La salsa Mas Picante De El Salvador. Created with a special mix of Jalapeno, Habanero, and local Tabasco peppers called Dientes de Chuchos. All of these peppers thrive in El Salvador's tropical climate and the result is a very hot, but rich and flavorful blend that goes well on everything.
- The red version is spicier, estimated around 300,000 scoville units. This is a range which can be uncomfortably hot for those not accustomed to spicy food. This is why they say Hagale Huevos! A little goes a LONG way. The green version has less heat and what you might test out on your guests first.
- Trompa De Chucho is a well known sauce in El Salvador with a big following. Now you can order it from your couch and have it to your door in days. The future is amazing.
- 6 oz bottles, available in single red, single green, or a 2 bottle variety pack. You have to try both kinds!
Created in small batches in Santa Ana, El Salvador, Trompa De Chucho is a specialty regional favorite with a big bite. It is a hot sauce made of a Jalapeno and Habanero mix, but with an additive of Dientes de Chucho, a small variety of tabasco pepper which grows well in the tropical Salvadorian climate. It is a flavor best experienced for yourself. It has less of a vinegar taste than many of the US mass market tabasco based sauces, but is also distinctly different than the mainstream popular Mexican hot sauces which generally use the same pepper bases, such as Poblanos, Chipotles, Serranos. The flavor profile is distinctly different, and if you are a hot sauce lover, this will be an incredible addition to your collection.
