UVP 4 is a premixed salted collodion used for tintypes, ambrotypes, and glass negatives. It is formulated with one iodide salt and one bromide salt. Its a cadmium-based formula that ages slowly, so you will have consistent results over a long period of time. Stored in a cool dark place, this collodion will maintain good working properties for 12 months. UVP 4 is specifically formulated to work across a wide range of uses. It works well for indoor portraits using studio light, outdoors using natural light, and for landscapes. During development it is easy to see the image appear and find the sweet spot that gives the best tone and contrast.
